A bit about me

Hi! I'm Finley Nguyen, a senior at Oak Hills High School with big dreams. In Fall 2024, I'm attending Baruch College in New York City for Marketing Management. At Baruch, I'm also part of the highly selective Macaulay Honors College.

In my sophomore year of high school, I founded an online Discord community for fans of independent musician underscores (a.k.a. April Harper Grey) to discuss the fictional worlds within her music. Since then, we've grown to over 3,000 members and expanded beyond our mission of providing a fan space.

underscord is now home to Camp Boneyard, an annual virtual audiovisual festival that celebrates underground creatives and empowers youth activism. Our events have raised over $6,000 in total for causes such as Rainbow Railroad, Doctors Without Borders, Trans Lifeline, Center for Reproductive Rights, and more.

My interests include visual art, journalism, music, and event management. I'm super excited to plan my first in-person concert in New York City with friends.
