Changes: The 1980s were a transformative period for the NBA, marked by significant changes in rules, expansion, and business strategy, all of which contributed to a massive surge in the league's popularity and profitability. The three-point line was adopted for the 1979–80 season, creating more space and offense in the game, this will forever change the NBA.
Popular players and teams: This era had some of the greatest players of all time for example rookie Micheal Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Julius "Dr. J" Erving. This era has one of the biggest rivalies in NBA History with Majic Johnson's Los Angeles Lakers and Larry Bird's Boston Celtics. Micheal Jordan was still good but he was only a rookie and he will star to dominate soon.
